Centered on a 19th century Russian folktale of the groom whom marries a zombie by mistake, the Corpse Bride is a wonderful, intimate musical set into the gloomy era that is victorian. Two characters Victor Van Dort and Victoria Everglot are caused by be hitched, to each of their moms and dads benefit. The priest tells him to go learn his lines otherwise they cannot be wed after forgetting his vows in the rehearsal ceremony. Victor is out to the woods and all things are going completely until he sets the marriage band onto a twig on a lawn, which happens to be the hand of a corpse called Emily and she declares they have been now legitimately hitched and whisks them down towards the underworld. He desperately attempts to return to the land for the living to ensure that she is to marry a rich lord to make sure her family doesn’t go into the poor house that he can marry Victoria, but finds out. “the person this woman is being obligated to marry could be the devious Lord Barkiss, that is only after Victoria on her behalf cash (being unsure of that she along with her family members are actually totally broke). It, as Victor and Victoria are finally in a position to be together. Whenever he(while the other countries in the dead) finally arrive at the land for the living a shocking finding is created which reveals how Emily (the corpse bride) died and whom did” 1
